Reeuwijkse Plassen
For this project, I drew inspiration from the Reewijkse Plassen. The water, the play of light, and the organic movements formed the foundation for this unique work.
The panel has been built up entirely by hand, layer by layer, using natural materials, textures, and pigments. Sand, stone, and depth merge into a surface that can not only be seen but also felt. Every structure tells its own story, making each detail unlike any other.
This is a one-of-a-kind artwork that cannot be reproduced—just like the water that inspired it. It captures the soul of the place while adding a tangible dimension to the space in which it resides.
For me, this is not merely decoration, but a process: from the initial idea, to material research, to the final translation on a large scale.
